Excellent service and price. I hired a van last Sunday and arrived at their premises a bit early (06.40). Their agent was already on-site and by 07.00 I was away. As I posted the keys that afternoon on my return I was able to hire the van at the weekend for just one day and at a very, very good price. I would thoroughly recommend CallVan Hire.

Picked up a be transporter on Thursday evening for a university move on the Friday.
Van was clean had 3/4 of a tank, it was 6 months old and drove very well.
We got caught in some horrendous Friday traffic coming back and phoned to say we'd be late back. 'No problems just as long as its back for the morning'
Have used them before and will do so again.

Rented a 75 tonner for 4 days truck was OK but I have rented better
Dunno whether it was to do with the extreme weather last week or not but I found the staffs attitude quite obnoxious
Didn't experience any of the so called friendly customer service others have mentioned.
If this company has concerns about weather perhaps they should close down during the winter rather than inply they are not happy to let you have the vehicle espicially when the reason for renting is for a house move which is reliant on timing.
Truck was OK had a fault which wasn't pointed out to me when I collected it, no lights in the back of the truck and no load securing bars.
The truck did the job and was a good price for 4 days but I wouldn't use this company again I'm sorry to sayread more

The mark of a company is not measuring them when things go right; but measuring them when things go wrong.
I accidentally engaged 1st gear in the hire van (a moment confusing the gearbox in the van for the one in my car) I should have selected reverse. Before I could stop ( I was very close and attempting a 9 point turn!!) the van slowly drove into a fence post damaging the front panel. It was a minor dent, but did break the paint. I had expected the worse, especially after an international hire company had recently made the headlines for overcharging customers' for accident damage.
It was an accident, I returned the van overnight with a note apologising for the damage. There was no animosity, I caused the damage, put my hands up to it .I was treated very fairly with a modest repair charge and all dealt with very swiftly so that we could both move on.
I will use them again. Without hesitation. A very fair company to deal with, good pricing with a good selection of vehicles.read more
